Diamond grinding wheels are mainly used in the grinding of various hard carbide, special shaped surfaces and work pieces made of hard brittle nonmetal materials with surface finish requirements or with difficult to machine surface.
Applications:
*Tungsten carbide
*Glass
*Alloy
*Anti wear coatings
*Ferrite
*Ceramics
*Porcelain
*Quartz
*Ferro-Tic
*Cermets
Bonds:
Resin bonds: made from various resin, these bonds are best suitable for applications in grinding tungsten carbide, high speed steels, ceramics. The function of resin bonded wheel is to grind easily and to give a high stock removal with reasonable wheel life.
Metal bonds: made from sintered various metals, these wheels give stronger resistance to wear for special applications (glass, ceramics) or for good corner handling, but the stock removal is less important than resin bonds.
