TSP diamond manufactured by micron diamond particles and binder (cobalt or silicon) at the ultra-high pressure and high temperature techniques. In the oil and gas drilling industry, the use of polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) drill bits and TSP bits has become increasingly common, with PDC drill bits and TSP bits accounting for a significant fraction of the worldwide rock-bit market.
TSP for drilling bits of oil field is thermally stable polycrystalline diamond product, which is manufactured by the ultra-high pressure and high temperature techniques. It is thermally stable up to 1200 degree Celsius. Drill bits employing the TSP cutters are capable of reducing overall system costs through increasing rates of penetration and bit life. It can be manufactured into a variety of sizes and shapes (Triangle, cube, cylinder, special etc.).
The sintered block sinters the TSP cutter directly onto the cemented carbide substrate. It has the heat resistance and wear resistance of TSP and the toughness of cemented carbide. It is mostly used for the gauge part of the core drill.
